PortCheck provides online fee
collection services for the Ports of
Los Angeles
and
Long Beach
's Clean Truck Program. The Clean Truck Program,
a component of the
Ports' Clean Air
Action Plan (CAAP)
, assesses a Clean Truck Fund Rate
(CTFR) on non-exempt containers.
CTFR funds are used as designated by the Ports in
the CAAP.
Users paying the CTFR register at PortCheck, submit their container numbers, and pay on-line with a credit card, an eCheck, or with a credit account. PortCheck notifies the container terminals in the Ports once the transactions are completed. |

PortCheck was founded
in 2008 to provide on-line rate collection services. PortCheck is
an entity of the West Coast MTO
Agreement, and its schedule is filed with the Federal
Maritime Commission.
